The Critical Role of Medical Affairs

When I was speaking for a recent podcast, the host asked me what role I thought that medical affairs (MA) teams played in health equity. I thought for a moment and paused on the question. The answer is all of us, including MA, have a huge role in ensuring health equity.

The truth is that the job of health equity belongs to everyone in healthcare—whether directly or indirectly. It wasn’t until recent government mandates that pharma and life sciences started to take more notice as well as the glaring disparities that surfaced in the dissemination of COVID-19 vaccines.
